Pendulums Out Today!

Today, my new album has been officially thrust upon the world! It’s now available on front-cover-200iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, and every other mp3 store known to man. The entire album is streaming on the player on the right over there (sort of a try before you buy type thing). Here’s the tracklist:

1. Point of Reference
2. Pendulums
3. Overboard & Down
4. Smiling at Strangers
5. Shanghai

Also, for those who still want to have a CD in all its artwork, liner noted glory, the store would do you nicely.

And in an effort to steal my thunder (I guess), Warner Brothers is releasing another installment in the Harry Potter saga tonight. They’re so shameless. It should be known that good music is the only defense muggles have against Lord Voldemort. So stock up now!

There are also a few shows in the works, with a really fantastic live band. I’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.

Jacob

Addendum: Having just seen it, I can confidently say that the Harry Potter film I was mentioning is pretty good.

A Goody Bag for All

Artwork by Nicole Bernath
Artwork by Nicole Bernath

I love goody bags. Not only because they remind me of birthday parties back in the Shire (hobbits actually give small gifts on their birthdays), but also because of all the fun things that come inside. A bag of jelly beans, an inch-long eraser, a straw that loops around about a dozen times, sometimes even a cookie! Even if the party is a bit stale, at least you go home with an assortment of little trinkets.

Well today is a birthday of sorts; it’s the launch of this website! And to celebrate this exciting occasion, I’m giving away a digital goody bag of three exclusive tracks to all of my lovely guests! I won’t be releasing these tracks by any other medium; they’re totally exclusive! Here’s what you’ll get:

  1. Pendulums (Acoustic)
  2. Buckleberry Ferry
  3. The Bosun’s Tale (early ‘Overboard & Down’ demo)

Now I know more than half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve. If you’re on my email list, the Goody Bag is already in your inbox. If not, see if you can remember your email address and put ‘er there!

I’m really looking forward to getting to know you, so please keep in touch! I’ll be participating in any and all dialogue in the comments of all the blog posts, and I check replies to my email newsletter. Failing that, you can always email me at jacob@jacobmagers.com.

Until next time,
Jacob
